From September 2014, student reports are issued via SIMS Learning Gateway (SLG); paper copies of reports are not issued as standard. All students have their own SLG accounts and are able to download their reports.
SLG is an internet-based platform which gives students and parents/guardians secure access to the student’s personal data from our School Information Management System (SIMS). This system allows you to view your child’s timetable, attendance, behaviour/achievement points, school reports and homework live 24 hours a day on an easy to use website. Access to the SLG is strictly controlled and only adults with parental responsibility and students will be allowed access to this data.
In order to be able to be set up to use SLG, you must have a valid, current email address and access to the internet. The email address you provide will be recorded as your main email address on SIMS.
If you do not yet have access to SLG, please contact [email protected]. An Acceptable Use Policy form must be completed, signed and returned to school before an account can be set up. A form can be collected from the school office or sent via post. Completed forms can either be returned to school or scanned and emailed to [email protected]. Once the completed form has been received your account will be created. Due to the sensitive nature of the information held in the SLG, usernames and passwords will be sent separately in the post and via email.
The SLG Acceptable Use Policy document and Parent and Carer User Guide is available below.
If you do not have any access to the internet and will be unable to use this system, please notify Miss J Scott, Deputy Headteacher in writing.
Please email [email protected] if you experience difficulties logging in to SLG or any other aspect of the site.
