Dress Code

We expect all our students to come to school every day adhering to the authorised dress code and bringing the correct equipment.

The sixth form lanyard must be worn with Sixth Form ID showing at all times.

 

Acceptable Items Not Acceptable
  • Smart trousers, skirt or dress
  • No jeans, leggings, loungewear or tracksuit bottoms.
  • Dresses and skirts should be professional and at a respectable length
  • Smart jacket, jumper or cardigan
  • The tie must be visible
  • No hoodies or sweatshirt-style jumpers.
  • No sportswear. No big logos or images across jumpers
  • Sixth Form Saint George’s tie with crest visible
 
  • Button-up shirts (with collar) or smart tops
  • No strappy, see-through or low-cut tops
  • Tops must have sleeves or be covered with a cardigan/jacket
  • Smart shoes
  • No trainers, sandals or flip-flops

Practical Subjects

If you take a practical subject such as sport, drama or dance and have a practical-based lesson that requires you to wear a ‘kit’ - you must have clothes to change into for the rest of your lessons for the day. You are permitted to come to school in your practical ‘kit’ only if this is your first lesson of the day.

Electronic Devices

Headphones are not permitted on the school site (apart from the study area) and will be confiscated if used outside (even if walking around)

Mobile phones should not be used outside the study space and only be out in lessons, if directed by a teacher.
