Kelvin and Ruth Reynolds visit to deliver new Yamaha keyboards in memory of David
Friday 10th January 2020
David Reynolds was an ex-pupil here at Saint George’s Church of England School. He was a very ambitious and creative individual that had a clear passion for music, and in particular, playing piano. When he was a young boy, he did work experience at Radio Kent and loved every minute of it! He also became a member of the Yamaha club in 2005 and often entertained at events and keyboard festivals. On top of all of that, David also volunteered at Valley Park Radio (VPR) for 25 years!
David used the Music Department as a sanctuary at break and lunch times and here developed his skills and passion for music and especially the piano and keyboard instruments. Sadly, David passed away from a rare cancer in his arm, however, his talents, passion and bubbly personality are still making a mark today.
Davids parents, Kelvin and Ruth, visited Saint George’s today to see our students using the two keyboards that were donated to us from Yamaha and to give our pupils a presentation about David’s life and the huge impact he has made in 37, well lived years.
