At Saint George’s Church of England Primary School, we are committed to develop independent and active learners where our children are at the heart of everything that we do.

We deliver an inspiring and creative curriculum where learning is child-led and of high-quality. Our Christian Values of Creativity, Honesty, Inclusion, Resilience, Stewardship and Thankfulness are at the core of our school and they underpin the teaching and learning which takes place within it.

Our aim is to motivate and inspire children through the provision of a rich and meaningful curriculum, giving all of our children the opportunity to reach their full potential. Topics are introduced by providing memorable experiences, to motivate and engage and excite children.

Our curriculum is both broad and balanced and is taught in a range of ways including the use of the outdoors. Outdoor learning is extremely important to us at Saint George’s Church of England Primary School and our flexible timetabling allows staff to deliver learning outdoors, on a daily basis, along with weekly Forest School sessions. This allows us to deliver subjects in a fluid way, maximising children’s learning.

Pupils will develop a range of skills and knowledge to ensure they are independent, confident learners, who are able to problem solve and reflect on their own learning. Opportunities are provided across the whole curriculum to allow children to celebrate their learning and share it with others.
