In Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) students follow the National Curriculum and RE. Year 9 is a transition year where pupils continue to follow the National Curriculum but also have the chance to experience taster sessions in some subjects prior to making their pathways choices at the end of year 9. This allows pupils to maintain the breadth of curriculum but also provides them with a deeper insight into some other subjects, such as Business, Media and Graphics, before they make their GCSE choices. In total there are 13 subjects that pupils get the chance to experience for a term
We teach in traditional classroom spaces and in traditionally sized groups. As a Church School, we expect that all parents will accept our ethos. If, however any parent wishes to exercise their statutory right to withdraw from RE and worship they should contact the Headteacher.
