Saint George’s Reception and KS1 Join Exciting Trust Bike Festival

Recently, Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils from across our Trust came together for an exciting and memorable event — the very first Bike Festival, designed especially for our youngest riders.
Our pupils at Saint George’s joined five other Trust schools to take part in a variety of fun and challenging cycling activities, including individual sprints, the longest glide, team relays, and the pursuit. The event was expertly organised and run by Born to Ride, with demonstrations from older and more experienced pupils, inspiring the younger children to give their best on the day.
All of our children showed fantastic enthusiasm and determination, making Saint George’s proud with their effort and sportsmanship. The event was a brilliant opportunity for our pupils to develop their confidence, coordination, and teamwork skills while having a great time.
The final team results saw Saint George’s finishing in fourth place amid strong competition, a wonderful achievement for all involved!
A huge well done to all the children who took part. Your energy and smiles made the Bike Festival a huge success. We look forward to many more active, fun-filled events like this in the future!
