Dodgeball Drama: The Trust Games Heat Up!

We were absolutely thrilled to host the second round of this year’s Trust Games last night with a fast-paced and action-packed Trust Dodgeball Event! A huge thank you to all the pupils, staff, and schools who joined us - it was fantastic to welcome 11 schools and 110 Year 3 and 4 pupils, a brilliant turnout that truly reflects the strength and spirit of our Trust community.
From the very first throw to the final whistle, the atmosphere was electric. Every pupil threw themselves wholeheartedly into the competition, and it was wonderful to see smiles, cheers, and determination lighting up every corner of the hall – dodgeball was clearly enjoyed by all!
The event itself was both competitive and thrilling. With two separate three-way ties during the group stages, tensions soared, and energy levels surged, leading to two sudden-death round-robin play-offs – moments that players and spectators alike will not forget! Throughout the evening, every student displayed fantastic sportsmanship and impressive skill, representing their schools with pride.
We are delighted to share the final standings:
-

Huge congratulations to Sedley’s – a very well-deserved victory!
A heartfelt thank you goes to Mr Poppy and Mr Knight from Saint George’s, whose organisation, dedication, and hard work ensured the evening ran smoothly and in such a positive spirit. We are also immensely proud of our young leaders (aged 13–14), who officiated and supported the event so professionally. Officiating in front of teachers and parents is no easy task, but they rose to the challenge magnificently – their contribution is always key to the success of the Trust Games.
We are already looking forward to the next thrilling event - the Basketball Event for Years 5 and 6 on 21st January 2026.
Thank you once again to every school, staff member, young leader, and pupil involved. Last night was a brilliant celebration of teamwork, enthusiasm, and the values that make the Aletheia Academies Trust so special.
